FIEBING'S ANTIQUE FINISH 4 FL. OZ/118 ML.

AED75.00Price
    •  Start with clean, dry leather. If the leather has been dyed or stained, ensure that the dye or stain has completely dried and set before applying the antique finish.
    •  If there are areas of your leather that you don’t want affected by the Antique Finish, use a fine tip brush to apply Fiebing’s Pro Resist and let the Pro Resist dry completely before applying the Antique Finish.
    • Using a clean sponge, cloth, dauber, sheep’s wool or brush, apply Fiebing’s Antique Finish evenly onto the surface of the leather. You can apply it in broad strokes for an overall antique effect, or you can focus on specific areas to create depth and highlights.
    • Once applied, use a clean applicator to work the antique finish into the leather. Rub in circular motions or along the grain of the leather to ensure even coverage and to work the finish into any crevices or details.
    •  Let the Antique Finish sit on the surface of the leather for anywhere from a few minutes to 30 minutes. The longer that you let the Antique Finish sit, the more color it will impart into the leather.
    • Buff off the excess Antique Finish. The goal is to remove any Antique Finish that isn’t in the crevices of tooling and stamping.
    • Depending on the desired level of antiquing, you may need to apply multiple coats of Fiebing’s Antique Finish. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next one.
    • To protect the antique finish and the leather, you can seal the leather with Fiebing’s Resolene. This step is particularly important if the leather item will be subjected to heavy wear or exposure to moisture.
